Icefall
During winter, the canyons water becomes ice. The Arpenteur proposes an introduction to ice-climbing. This activity depends on the weather conditions.
You'll be maximum of 4 people with the guide.
3 objectives:
- Understand the ice and its peculiarities
- Evolve with crampons
- Handle axes
It is a half-day activity.
Ice canyons
During winter, water fall are changing in icefall. If weather and ice conditions are OK, we propose to you an initiation to icefall. You'll be 2 or 4 per montain guide who allow you to practice the activity with a maximum of security and pleisure.
Initiation
- Understand the ice peculiarities,
- Evolve with crampons,
- Handle axes,
- Evolve with crampons,
On-site artificial or natural, ice climbing will provide you magnificent self-confidence, and confidence in the guide and the wall of ice.
It is a half day activity in the Vercors.
Rates
Price: About 100 € per person
Minimum 3 people, maximum 5.
Supervisory staff: High Mountain Guide
Individual and safety equipment provided: crampons, helmet, ice axe, harness, ropes
Not provided and essential equipment: mountains shoes, clothes against cold temperatures.
Places
Initiation: In the Vercors (about 1 hour from Valence).
Course and week-ends: In the Ecrins.
